Transactional Message Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the offer and segmentation rules for all email and sms transactional communications.
  • Define the requirements for Email and SMS metrics reporting, including web analytics tagging, reporting structure, and discount code reporting for email campaign useage.
  • Project manage Ad Hoc Projects and enhancements for Email and SMS
  • Conduct product ownership for all transactional messaging and being a liaison with business and IT stakeholders
  • Contribute to the vision and roadmap of operational and transactional message strategies and the use of the customer preference center
  • Manage work outsourced to agencies and vendors


  • Experience in email and/or SMS marketingmarketing program development and/or implementation
  • Direct/database marketing or customer relationship
  • Proven experience working with industry tools and analytics packages including email, web analytics, CRM and marketing automation platforms
  • Project management and /or business analyst experience
  • Exceptional data evaluation skills with the ability to extract and interpret data from various sources to offer creative marketing and product solutions.
  • Superior analytical thinking, communication and organizational skills
  • Strong understanding of internet-based consumer behavior and online direct marketing tactics as well as knowledge of email and sms best practices including segmentation, deliverability, and analysis
  • Some copy writing and written communication skill
  • Results-driven with exceptional detail and knowledge around web analytics, specifically A/B testing and ROI analysis
  • Ability to manage time and multiple priorities with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge of CAN-Spam and TCPA laws and other email/sms marketing legal considerations
  • Accomplished range of skills from strategic thinking to creative and detailed execution
